The Abra Solid North Weavers continued their remarkable run as they cruised past Bulacan in a wire-to-wire victory, extending their winning streak to an impressive 17 games.
With the victory, Abra strengthened its grip on the top spot in the North Division, improving to an outstanding 19-1 record. The Weavers once again showed why they remain one of the toughest teams in the league, controlling the game from start to finish and never allowing Bulacan to mount a serious comeback.
At the center of Abra’s dominant performance was Dave Ildefonso, who delivered another strong all-around outing to earn Player of the Game honors.
Dave Ildefonso Sets the Tone
Ildefonso was instrumental in keeping Abra in command throughout the contest, finishing with 23 points and seven rebounds.
From the opening minutes, the talented forward provided the scoring punch the Weavers needed. His ability to attack the basket, knock down timely shots, and contribute on the glass helped Abra maintain its advantage as the game progressed.
His seven rebounds were equally important, giving the Weavers additional possessions while limiting Bulacan’s opportunities to generate second-chance points.
With the game entering its crucial stages, Ildefonso continued to play with confidence, helping Abra preserve its lead and eventually secure another convincing victory.
His performance was a reflection of the Weavers’ overall consistency during their incredible winning streak.
Abra Controls the Game From Start to Finish
Unlike games where a team has to battle back from an early deficit, Abra never needed to chase Bulacan.
The Weavers established control early and maintained their advantage throughout the game. Their ability to dictate the tempo prevented Bulacan from finding a sustained rhythm on offense.
Abra’s defensive pressure also played a major role. The Weavers consistently challenged Bulacan’s attempts to penetrate and forced the opposition to work for every scoring opportunity.
On the other end of the floor, Abra moved the ball effectively and found multiple ways to generate points. The balanced attack made it difficult for Bulacan to focus its defensive attention on a single player.
That combination of offensive execution and defensive discipline allowed the Weavers to protect their lead until the final buzzer.
17 Straight Wins for the Weavers
The latest victory pushed Abra’s winning streak to 17 consecutive games, an extraordinary stretch that has established the Weavers as the team to beat in the North Division.
The streak has also highlighted the team’s remarkable consistency. Regardless of the opponent, Abra has repeatedly found ways to produce results, whether through its offensive firepower, defensive intensity, or late-game composure.
Now sitting at 19-1, the Weavers have positioned themselves comfortably at the top of the North Division standings.
Their lone loss has become a distant memory as Abra has responded with one of the most impressive runs of the season.
The challenge now is maintaining that momentum as the competition becomes increasingly intense.
Bulacan Battles Despite the Defeat
While the final result favored Abra, Bulacan continued to compete throughout the contest.
Facing a team riding a 17-game winning streak is never an easy assignment, particularly when that opponent establishes the lead from the opening period. Still, Bulacan fought to stay within striking distance and looked for opportunities to change the momentum.
However, Abra’s ability to answer every challenge prevented the game from turning into a comeback opportunity.
Whenever Bulacan attempted to make a push, the Weavers responded with timely baskets and defensive stops.
That resilience ultimately allowed Abra to preserve its wire-to-wire advantage.
A Statement From the North Division Leaders
The win was more than just another addition to Abra’s record. It further demonstrated the level of consistency that has made the Weavers the North Division’s leading team.
With a 19-1 record, Abra continues to set the standard for the division. Its 17-game winning streak is a clear indication of the team’s current form, while performances like Ildefonso’s show that the Weavers have multiple players capable of stepping up when needed.
For Ildefonso, his 23-point, seven-rebound performance provided another reminder of his importance to Abra’s success.
As the Player of the Game, he helped lead the Weavers through another challenging matchup and played a key role in extending their remarkable run.
What’s Next for Abra?
With the victory secured, the Abra Solid North Weavers can turn their attention toward the next challenge on their schedule.
At 19-1, every remaining game carries additional importance. The Weavers will be looking to protect their position at the top of the North Division while attempting to extend their winning streak even further.
For now, however, Abra can celebrate another dominant performance.
Dave Ildefonso’s 23 points and seven rebounds, combined with a complete team effort, powered the Weavers past Bulacan and extended their winning streak to 17 games.
The message from the North Division leaders is becoming increasingly clear: Abra Solid North Weavers are not slowing down anytime soon.
